On this episode of the Extraordinary Culture podcast, we celebrate a birthday! We turn one year old this month and take a moment to reflect back on what that has been like. Mickey Mouse also had a birthday this month and we discuss a little about him and how he is changing copyright laws. Speaking of Disney, Stan Lee (he is a Disney legend after all), passed and we discuss his impact on today’s pop culture and how we figured out that Stan the Man was the one who created so many of our favorite Marvel superheroes. Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation returned to Riverside for one night and Rick and X were there to talk about it in all its gory goodness. Disney+ was given a name and now they will get our money as they announced Diego Luna from Rogue One will get a series, Andrew Lincoln left the Walking Dead to star in the Walking Dead (spoilers) and the Winnebago (or a part of it anyway) from Spaceballs went up for auction. Bad Religion released new music (don’t sue us). Dan saw them at Surf City Blitz and reviewed that two day festival as well as discusses who else he’s going to see in the next month. Roman Reigns was diagnosed with leukemia (fight on Us!)and leaves a big hole in the roster. Can the Elite fill it? Beer share is Breakfast Stout from Founders Brewery, a double chocolate coffee oatmeal stout that paired perfectly with Christine’s snickerdoodles. All this and more on this episode of the Extraordinary Culture podcast. Thanks to our sponsors Crown and Stache Barber Company, Chino Valley Brewery, and Made Shop Riverside.
