It's our reunion show! We are actually all back together for the first (and possibly last) time in person since COVID began. On this episode of the Extraordinary Culture podcast, we talk lots of music, since live shows are coming back in a big way and there has been all kinds of great releases coming out. Star Wars Celebration is also coming back and Dan discusses the hotel room he wants and everyone gives thoughts on the Bad Batch. Xavier reviews Sasquatch which may or may not be about an actual sasquatch. There's more reunions, dark sides, and a whole lot of other nonsense in our reunion special. To all who come to this happy podcast welcome! Disneyland has reopened! And none of us have been yet, Michael is headed there this week so watch for our next episode when he breaks it down. We do talk about the news there that interests us and Anthony gets mad at a servants' entrance. What we do cover extensively is the reopening of Knott's since three of the four of us are annual passholders (can we say that?) so they cover their experience and we talk about some of the other theme parks in our area. Come along for the ride as we discuss all this and more on the Disney Culture podcast. See ya real soon!
Better late than never, but we’re back for another episode. Dan and Crown and Stache discuss his collaboration with the Art of Dedication and the new clothing line. Disney Parks are open and they broke the Internet, Dan S. shares his experiences with the new protocols and changes to attractions. We also talk about Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Batman: The Long Halloween, Mortal Kombat and the release of the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World 10th Anniversary Seven Evil Exes Vinyl. Voodoo Glow Skulls will always have a special place in our hearts, just like the Offspring who just released a new album, which we review as well as the newest EP from Authority Zero and we pay our respects to DMX and Shock G. The MLB season is a month old, so we share our thoughts about our teams so far an the movement of the All-Star Game. Have you watched any Triller fights yet? OMG! We also discuss Mongo McMichael and his ALS, the upcoming Dark Side of the Ring season and more. To all who come to this happy podcast welcome! This episode we cover the dates that Disneyland and other parks have given to reopen. We got those and plans for a possible Disney expansion. Downtown Disney has an Eggstravaganza, we review Taste of Boysenberry and the food event at Sea World. Come along for the ride as we discuss all this and more on the Disney Culture podcast. See ya real soon!
It’s been ONE YEAR since we’ve been together, but our adventures keep rolling. There was a Big Bang in Ontario, CA and it hit close to home for Xavier, literally! We discuss the severity of the situation and what is going on with the relief. Disneyland and other California theme parks are opening up in April. What are the restrictions and guidelines that are happening in Disneyland? Is there really a NO SCREAMING RULE? We make predictions about how and what might happen during the next year, including predictions on the future of annual passes.
Xavier and Rick discuss Coming 2 America and how it pays homage to the original and is targeted for the fans, much like Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Dan R. then discusses the Justice League Snyder Cut and what some of the differences are compared to the original. But the question is, is it worth it? Wandavision wrapped up and did well. It was great, but it didn’t live up to the expectations? It did give us a taste of what it was like to be left behind during the Blip. It is very different from what we are getting with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The first few episodes are out and again, they provide a fallout from Avengers: Endgame and actually validate Thanos’ work. Comic-Con has released a statement saying they WILL host a convention during Thanksgiving Weekend this year. King of the Hill is more than likely getting a reboot set about 15 years later. We’re excited to see what may come out of this. Is it still something worth watching? Disney did away with a lot of things Star Wars related, but some things are returning to Disney+ like the original Star Wars short with Boba Fett and the first Clone Wars Series. Even the Ewoks movies are returning. Also returning, Amoeba is opening up on April 1. It's going to be crazy trying to get in for a while. It’s always a great place to find something special, but probably not the Misfits original 7 inch that sold for $10K. WWE has “banned” the leg slap, but what other ways do wrestlers make things sound “more painful?” What else might be painful is trying to watch baseball at the stadium. How will the limited seating affect ticket prices? Is it worth it to go this year? McDonald’s released a Crispy Chicken Sandwich, but is it any good? Also, when you are in Alhambra check out Spanglish for some Extraordinary Eats. This episode we cover the blockbuster news that Disneyland (and other theme parks) has been given the clear to open soon, albeit with plenty of restrictions. Disney also decided to touch us, well not us, but some other people who opted to be touched. We talk about some other tastings that are going on as amusements parks look to make some money off their food before reopening. Come along for the ride as we discuss all this and more on the Disney Culture podcast. See ya real soon!

Disneyland sunsetted annual passports, but announced that they will touch us. Kong vs. Godzilla and an updated Mortal Kombat are coming our way shortly, but so is a Danzig vampire movie. Tim Burton will try his hand at directing a series with Wednesday Addams and the original Muppet show appeared on Disney+ with a warning that it’s dated. WandaVision is getting closer to ending and then we immediately get The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We have to wait a year to see more Mandalorian, but we won’t see Gina Carano at all. The Anti-Virals, who we featured music from last month, released their whole album and Dan talks about it, plus we heard new Offspring music for the first time in nine years. AEW got “Big” this week and the WWE network has an upcoming move to Peacock. All this and more on this episode of the Extraordinary Culture Podcast.

Everything has been about the Bernie Sanders memes and everyone is trying to capitalize on it. Even Bernie Sanders is using it to make money for Meals on Wheels Vermont. Disneyland has sunset the annual pass program. We spend some time giving our take about why, and what is next, including a COVID vaccine site. Some good content has come out recently including Wonder Woman 1984, which Rick discusses and then talks about the documentary, “You Cannot Kill David Arquette.” while Dan and Rick discuss Cobra Kai. The Glass House is turning 25 this year. There are so many great memories and stories to tell. Everything from early shows with the Descendents to the last time we were all together for a wrestling event. New music from Bad Religion, the Descendents, and AFI has dropped and we give our reviews for them and discuss what is up with the NOFX release Linewluem and it’s confusing meta feel. We pay our respects to the many greats who have passed recently, including: Tommy Lasorda, Don Sutton, MF Doom, Hank Aaron and John Huber/Brodie Lee/Luke Harper
This month’s featured band is The Anti-Virals, whose new album Brainwashed is out now and available wherever you get online music. We feature two of their songs, Devo Was Right and Five Ugly Guys in a Van. This episode we cover the sunsetting of Disneyland APs. I've had one for over 20 years, but now we say goodbye and talk about what may be in the future for some kind of annual pass, but I still get my discount until the end of next month with no actual opening date in sight. Vaccines are available at Disneyland, well in the Toy Story parking lot anyway. While this is going on Avengers Campus is still set to open in 2021, I mean they still have another 11 months. We also talk the weirdness that is WandaVision. Come along for the ride as we discuss all this and more on the Disney Culture podcast. See ya real soon!
